The Mare Quartet was founded in September 2021 by four students at the Conservatory in The Hague. Since its founding it has performed in concerts around the Netherlands, and it has participated in workshops and masterclasses organised by the NJO, the European Chamber Music Association (ECMA), the Casals Quartet and many others. The Quartet specializes in the Late Classical and Romantic period, performing Quartets by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms among others.
